Fauci warned that the latest outbreak could be widespread

Fauci, the nation's top infectious disease expert and a member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force, said at a television conference in Washington DC Friday afternoon that Americans have a "social responsibility" to balance social disruption to prevent spread. In COVID-19.

"We have a personal responsibility, but you have a social responsibility, because if we want to end this outbreak - actually end it, and then hopefully when a vaccine comes and nails it in the coffin - then we realize that we are part of this process," That said, this is the first of its kind in late April.

Fauci said Americans "can be part of the problem-solving process."

He has made critical comments on coronavirus infections in states like Arizona, Texas, Florida and California. Both Texas and Florida said they would close the bar on Friday to address the growing number of cases.

Fauci noted that some parts of the country have done well in preventing coronavirus infections with "prudent" reopening plans. But he points out disturbing trends in some areas, which, if left unchecked, will spread across the country.

"We have a serious problem in some areas," Fauci said. "We have a very different country, but inequality does not mean that we are not interconnected with each other. Therefore, what is happening in one part of the country will eventually lead to other parts of the country."

"If we don't quench the spread, sooner or later we will be spreading the good," he said.

Fauci's comments contradict Vice President Pence and other officials, who have tried to defuse concerns about recent spikes and emphasize the progress the United States has made in fighting the epidemic, which has killed more than 120 million Americans.

The number of cases of coronavirus has exceeded 40,000 for the first time since the plateau as a result of sanctions to prevent the spread of the disease. States across the country are planning to unblock coronavirus sanctions to reopen trade and reduce the impact of the epidemic on the US economy.

Fauci and other top health officials recommend that Americans cover their faces, avoid large gatherings, and stay away from the public.

On Friday, Fauci suggested that some of the spikes be opened "a little too early" or that the federal government would follow the recommended actions.
