Mainland China confirms seven new, one characteristic COVID-19 cases



BEIJING (Reuters) - Seven newly confirmed COVID-19 cases and one asymptomatic case in mainland China are set to expire on June 11, the country's National Health Authority said.

The National Health Commission said in a statement Friday that six of the newly confirmed patients were imported cases of travelers from abroad.

The Commission reported 11 confirmed cases, all imported and seven asymptomatic cases the day before.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in mainland China is now 83,064, while the death toll remains unchanged at 6,634. China does not count infected, but asymptomatic patients.
