Pierce Brosnan took to Instagram on Sunday to celebrate the seventh anniversary of the death of her daughter Charlotte Brosnan.
The former James Bond star shared a photo of his wife, Kelly Shay Smith, taken from her aerial home, as a tribute to two late mothers.
"Here you see the baby," the 67-year-old captioned the photo. "Happy Birthday in memory of Charlotte and my beloved Marley May."
The actor mentioned his granddaughter, who is five years old this month.
Charlotte died on June 28, 2013 at the age of 41 after a battle with ovarian cancer. K Daily Mail reported. According to the outlet, at age 43 in 1991, his mother, Cassandra Harris - Brosnan's first wife - died of the same disease.
Charlotte has her husband and two children.
The lettuce shared Brosnan as Charlotte's adoptive father when she married Harris in 1980. They have two children, Charlotte and Christopher, 46, from a previous marriage to producer Dermot Harris, who died in 1986.
The son of Harris and Brosnan is the father of 36-year-old Marley May, whose middle name is a tribute to her late grandmother.
One year after Charlotte's death, Brosnan felt the loss of two women who had influenced his life in the Stand Up to Cancer telethon.
"To see a person you love eating a little of his life with this insidious disease, this kind of sadness becomes an indelible part of your mind," he said at the time, quoted by The Outlet.
"I held the generous, strong, beautiful hand of my first wife, Cassie, because ovarian cancer took her life so quickly," he says. "And last year, before I died of this formidable, inherited disease, I caught the hand of my witty, wonderful daughter Charlotte."
Brosnan found love again and met Smith in 1994. The couple tied the knot in 2001 and separated from their two sons.
Brosnan reported in 2018 that Closer Weekly has helped Smith overcome personal tragedy.
The former 007 actor at the time said, "You have to trust your heart." "And try to meet the best people in life. When Keely sees me, I feel weak. I love his livelihood and his passion. I can't live without her. Her strength is that I find a wonderful woman.
“Every day and every year, there are a lot of lessons to be learned,” he said. "It's important to have good faith in yourself and get to know yourself as much as possible, and then go out there and do good things."
