ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police on Friday told the Additional District and Sessions Judge (ADSJ) that US blogger Cynthia De is to humiliate Prime Minister Benatar Bhutto, who is accused of murder on social media. He does not have the authority to act on Richie.
The application filed by PDP activist Vakas Abbasi was heard by ADSJ Jeba Chaudhary.
Mr. Abbasi complained at Benigala Police Station that the First Information Report (FIR) was filed against Mrs. Cynthia. However, the police station house official told the court that the cybercrime of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) was the appropriate venue for the case to be taken up because it was defamatory on social media.
He said that when contacted by the police station, the applicant is advised to contact the relevant forum to resolve his complaint.
US blogger first tweeted against Ms. Bhutto and later accused former Interior Minister Rahman Malik of raping her in 2011. He alleged that former Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani and former health minister had physically harassed her.
The police requested the court to hand over the application to the records.
