MOSCOW (AP) - The Russian Foreign Ministry on Monday ordered two Russian diplomats in the Czech Republic to leave the country in response to the expulsion of Russian diplomats amid conflicts in history.
The ministry said it had called on the Czech ambassador on Monday to announce the move, and that the two diplomats had to leave Russia by Wednesday.
Earlier this month, the Czech government ordered two Russian diplomats to leave the country. Czech Prime Minister Lady Babis has said that the country's goon skin agency found one of them targeting Czech leaders by spreading false information about the Russian killer.
A report in April reported that the Czech Intelligence Services suspected that the Russians who arrived in Prague on a diplomatic passport were sent to Prague Mayor Jadinek Hirab and Prague 6 District Mayor Ondre Kolar with a powerful poison.
Kolar Mayor, Harib and Prague Prague District Pavel Novotny all have police protection.
Moscow dismissed the allegation as baseless. Mocking the claims published in the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Czech officials said the notion that the Russian man was armed with Ruskin was incomprehensible.
All three politicians have previously committed acts that angered Russia.
In February, a Prague square was renamed in front of the Russian embassy to kill the anti-Russian leader Boris Nemtsov, and Herib unveiled the new nameplate.
In April, the Kolar District removed the statue of Ivan Konov, the second commander of the Soviet World War, whose troops completed the liberation of Prague from the Nazi occupation. Russia has expressed anger over the removal of the statue, which angered the country's decisive role in defeating the Nazis.
Novotny aroused the wrath of Moscow with plans to build a memorial to the soldiers of the army, General Andrei Vallasov. When the Czech coup against the Nazi regime helped and contributed to the liberation of Prague, more than 300 people died. Their role for Russia is controversial, although they have previously fought against the Red Army with Nazi soldiers.
