Wajid Khan passed away: The Sajid-Wajid music duo is incomplete

Superstar Salman Khan's famous composer duo 'Wanted', 'Dabangg' and 'Ek Tha Tiger' Sajid-Wajid have died at the age of 42.




He breathed his last on Monday at a Mumbai hospital. This was confirmed in a Facebook post by Singer Sonu Nigam.

Wajid Khan's brother Sajid Khan told BBC Associate Journalist Madhu Paul that Wajid Khan was also infected with the coronavirus.

The Wajid Khan family also confirmed to the BBC that "pray for his soul."

"Wajid Khan was diagnosed with kidney disease and was transplanted two years ago," the BBC told its family.

"He has a throat infection. He has been admitted to Surana Hospital in Chembur."



In a tribute to him, movie star Ranveer Shore wrote on Twitter that Waheed Khan died of coronation.



Actress Priyanka Chopra also paid tribute to Wajid Khan on Twitter.


Music composer Salim Merchant told News Agency PTI, "He has been on a ventilator for the past four days. It started with a kidney infection due to poor health and then his condition worsened."
