Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane plans to be "slow" with Marco Asensio but has said that he has a midfielder role this season.
In a 3-1 win over Iber on Sunday, Madrid returned, with Eskenio not in place.
The 24-year-old's knee was severely injured in the pre-season but is now available for Madrid, who have returned to Barcelona as rivals and league leaders.
Zidane did not plan to attend the conferences but said he would use Spain internationally.
