Neil Young is angry about Donald Trump's use of his three songs during a visit to Mount Rushmore on Friday (July 3).
The musician has stated that he "stands in solidarity" with Lakota Sioux and has long claimed that the land is his own.
Mount Rushmore was an area of conjunctures in the Black Hills between 1851 and 1868.
Despite protests before the president's arrival, he went ahead with the Independence Day event and used Young's songs "Rockin 'in the Free World" and "Like a Hurricane".
"It has nothing to do with me ..." a tweet posted from the Neil Young Archives accompanied footage of the incident.
He said in a follow-up post: "I support the Lakota Sioux and it's not right with me."
Trump also played "Cowgirl in the Sand," but Young made no comment about its use.
Young's music, which Trump called "an insult to my country" in an open letter written in February, was previously used without his permission.
In 2015, he played rockin '"In the Free World," announcing his presidential bid without the composer's permission.
