The Kremlin said on Sunday that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko had agreed to meet in Moscow in the coming weeks.
The two leaders have not met since
anti-government protests against the disputed presidential election that led to
Lukashenko's victory in Belarus.
In a phone call on Sunday, the two men
agreed to strengthen ties and boost cooperation.
"It was agreed to hold a meeting in
Moscow in the coming weeks," the Kremlin said in a statement.
