British actress Diana Rigg's co-star is paying a heartfelt tribute on social media after her death at the age of 82.
She became famous on the 1960s TV show Avengers and recently won
fans of Game of Thrones, including James Bond and Doctor Who play a role along
the way. During his long career, he has won numerous Emmy, Tony and BAFTA Awards, along with several classic theater roles, as well as popular TV shows.
According to the BBC's agent, Rigg died peacefully at home with
his family.
On Game of Thrones, she played Olenna Tyrell, Queen of Thorns, and
was responsible for many of the most memorable lines of the hit fancy show.
Rigg is being paid tribute to her co-stars, including Pedro Pascal
(O'Brien Martel), who hailed her as the "true queen of Westeros."
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who played Jim Leinster, expressed
happiness: "She always carries this bar with her incredible abilities,
intelligence and genius. It's an absolute pleasure and honor to work with
her."
HBO's official Game of Thrones account tweeted: "Become a
dragon, the circle will always remember Diana Rigg."
Rigg's last film role will be in Edgar Wright's psychological
horror list Night in Soho, which is set to release in April 2021.
