The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Russia exceeded 1 million on Tuesday, with authorities reporting 4,729 new cases.
In 1,000,048 cases reported, it is the
fourth largest caseload in the world after Russia, the United States, Brazil
and India.
Experts say the exact number of epidemics
is far higher than all the statistics tested, due to limited testing, several
minor cases and other factors besides concealment by some governments.
As of Tuesday, Russia had lifted most
lockdown restrictions in most parts of the country.
Last month, Russian authorities announced
for the first time the approval of the COVID-19 vaccine - a move that has
caused skepticism and concern among Western experts as the shots were tested’
on only a few dozen people. Last week, officials announced the launch of
advanced vaccine trials in 40,000 people.
It is unknown at this time what he will do
