Donald Trump once said that covid-19 could be a good thing because, according to Mike Pence, a former top adviser to the US vice president, it would stop him from shaking hands with "disgusting people."
Olivia Troy, who served on the White House Coronavirus Task Force, is the latest former member of the Trump
administration to urge American voters to stop him for a second term.
In a video released by anti-Trump group
Republican voters, Ms. Troy said working with the president was "terrible"
and claimed she was more concerned about re-election than saving the nation
from the virus. Are happy
Ms Troy alleged that, during a task force
meeting she attended, the president said: "Maybe this cowardly thing is a
good thing. I don't like shaking hands with people. I don't like these
disgusting people. No need to shake hands.
He said: "Those disgusting people are
the people he cares about. These are the people who are still going to his
rallies today who are convinced of who he is. The truth is that he is actually
someone other than himself. Doesn't care about anyone else.
Ms Troy, who was Mr Pence's homeland
security adviser, added: "If the president took the virus seriously, or if
he really tried to explain how serious it was, he would reduce the spread of
the virus. If they did, they would survive. "
Asked about his comments as he left the
White House for an election rally in Wisconsin, Mr. Trump said he had no idea
who he was. He served as vice president. She was on the task force as a
low-level individual. I don't know who he is.
"I never got to know her to the best
of my ability. Maybe she was in a room. I don't know who she is. She doesn't
know me. She's just another person who is leaving, and even if she's CN."
Whether it's the Washington Post or not, they say negative things.
Despite claiming that he did not
"know who she is", Mr Trump claimed that he had been told about the
"most beautiful letter" written by Ms Troy.
"As soon as he wrote a beautiful
letter, I understood that a letter was praising the administration," Mr
Trump said. "But then people grabbed him and said, 'Let's say something
bad about Donald Trump.'
The White House has strongly denied the
allegations in a statement issued Friday stating "Similar, baseless
allegations concerning Ms. Troy's case have been made more than once.
Ms. Troy, a lifelong Republican, said she
intends to vote for Democratic challenger Joe Biden in the November
presidential election.

Mr Pence said he had not read his
comments, but said his voice was "like another frustrated employee who has
decided to play politics during an election year."
Mr Trump told journalist Bob Woodward in
recorded interviews that he had deliberately reduced the virus in public
comment, although he was fully aware of the danger. He is also a
self-proclaimed bacteriologist and condemns the act of shaking hands before
running to his office.

Scaramucci.
