AB de Villiers scored a half-century for Rachel Challengers Bangalore to crush the Kolkata Knight Riders for 82 runs.
The Knight Riders had won three matches in
a row, but were brought’ back to the ground at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on
Monday.
It was an amazing knock by de Villiers,
which benefited the RCB immensely. South Africa played an innings of 73 off
just 33 balls to come up with an impressive score of 194-2.
De Villiers hit six sixes and five fours,
reaching his half-century in 23 runs as Andre Russell and Pat Cummins came in
all parts.
Aaron Finch (47), Virat Kohli (33no) and
Devot Padkal (32) also contributed, but it was de Villiers who reached the
central stage with his highest score against KKR.
The Knight Riders could only manage 112-9
in response to the slow track, with the impressive Washington Sundar winning
2-2 in their four overs and Chris Morris winning 2-17.
All six RCB bowlers took at least one
wicket and Yuzvendra Chahal scored a remarkable 1-2 after a 24-run
individuality.
Shubman Gul scored 34 runs while the
batsman of only three Knight Riders scored double figures in a huge victory,
which put Kohli ahead of his opponents in the third position.
De Villiers goes to the barracks

crease with Kohli in the 13th over when the pitch was cleared’ by Prasad
Krishna Yorker.
South Africa's wealthy captain Kohli died
and Kamlesh Nigarkoti was dismissed’ twice for six. One had disappeared from
the ground.
De Villiers continued to be brutal, with
Russell scoring 34 runs in his last two overs and conceding a half-century in
brilliant blitz.
Kohli agreed to strike de Villiers, the
wicketkeeper-batsman ended up with an amazing strike rate of 221.21, and KKR
faced a huge chase.
Secret Sundar Pits KKR in a spin
Sundar has not taken so many wickets in
the tournament so far, but the spinner has definitely made a significant
impact.
Their economy rate is 90.90 from seven
matches. Yes, only teammate Morris (50.50) improved - who has only played two
games.
Sundar bowled Nitish Rana and chased the
run and also saw the back of Avon Morgan who could never really go, Tom Bunton
