The IAG, the owner of British Airways, has said it will fly fewer aircraft than planned for the rest of the year as demand for infectious diseases continues to rise.
The
airline group has said it will not operate more than 30 percent of its regular
flights compared to last year.
The
news comes as the firm - which also owns Iberia and Air Lings Airlines. The
loss from July to September was €1.3bn (£1.17bn)
In
the same period last year, the group reported a profit of €1.4bn.
The
IAG said revenue for the quarter rose to €1.2bn from plunged 83%, up from €7.3bn last year.
"The
recent overall booking covid-19 has not progressed as expected due to
additional measures taken by several European governments in response to the
second wave of infections," the IAG said.
