US President Donald Trump will garner support on Monday on four battlefield states, while Democratic rival Joe Biden has focused on Pennsylvania and Ohio on the last day of his long and bitter campaign for the White House.
Republican Trump-backed
Biden in a national referendum ahead of Tuesday's election day. But the race is
close enough that Trump could garner 270 votes to determine the winner in the
state election college.
Trump intends to avoid
becoming the first president to lose re-election after fellow Republican George
HW. In 1992, Bush will hold meetings in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin , and two Michigan on Monday.
He won those states
against Democrat Hillary Clinton in 2016, but the poll shows Biden threatening
to retake them for Democrats.
Trump will wrap up his campaign in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the same place where he ended his 2016 presidential election with a rally after midnight on election day.
Biden, co-worker Kamala
Harris and his wife will spend most of Monday in Pennsylvania and will be
divided to target the four corners of the state that have become essential to
the former vice president's hopes.
Joe Biden will rally
members of the Union and members of the African-American community in the
Pittsburgh area before joining the evening's drive-in rally in Pittsburgh by
singer Lady Gaga.
Biden will build a route
along the Ohio border, and spend the last days of his campaign in a state that
was once considered’ a lock for Trump, who won it in 2016, but where the polls
now show a close contest. Has gone
Biden summed up the
offensive campaign almost exclusively by saying that Trump had won in 2016 and
criticized the president's response to the corona virus epidemic, which
dominated the final stages of the race. What was?
Biden accused Trump of
failing to fight the epidemic, which killed more than 230,000 Americans and
cost millions of jobs. The poll shows that Americans trust Biden more than
Trump to fight the virus.
During a strong swing of
five states on Sunday, Trump claimed that he has gained momentum. He promised
economic recovery and a delicate delivery of a vaccine to combat the epidemic.
The first dose of an effective corona vaccine will likely be available to some
high-risk Americans in late December or early January, says Dr. Anthony Fauci,
an American pathologist.
A 'wonderful thing'
Trump once again
questioned the integrity of the US election, saying the vote count in which the
last election was spread would be a "terrible thing" and suggested
that lawyers be involved.
"I don't think it's
appropriate that we have to wait long after the election," Trump told
reporters. Some states, including Pennsylvania, do not process the ballots
until election day, slowing the process.
Trump has repeatedly
said, without proof, that mail-in votes are fraudulent, although election
experts say this is rare in US elections. Mail voting has long been a feature
of the US election, and one in four ballots was cast’ in 2016.
Democrats have pushed
for mail-voting as a safer way to vote in the Coronavirus epidemic, while
Trump and Republicans are personally counting turnout on a major election day.
"We're leaving
overnight with the election. We're going with our lawyers," Trump told
reporters without elaborating.
Trump has denied Axis'
report that he told the suspects he would declare victory on Tuesday night if
he appeared to be ahead, even if the outcome of the Electoral College was not
clear.
"The president will
not steal in this election," Biden told reporters when asked about the
Exxon report.
According to the U.S.
Election Project, 92.2 million primary ballots were cast’ in person or by mail
in recorded order, representing about 40 percent of eligible voters. As a
result of the initial increase, Michael McDonald of the University of Florida,
which manages the project, predicts a record turnout rate of 65% of eligible
voters, the highest since 1908.
A federal judge in Texas
will consider Monday whether Houston officials will cast approximately 12 of
the 127,000 ballots cast by the drive in the Democratic-leaning area. A Republican lawmaker and others have accused Harris County Clerk Chris Hollins,
a Democrat, of contracting the coronavirus.
Former President Barack Obama, who has served as Biden's vice president for eight years, will hold a vote-out rally in Atlanta, Georgia, on Monday before concluding his campaign in the evening with a rally in Miami.
