Biden removes Trump's diet coke button from the White House

The button used by Donald Trump to request a fresh diet coke in the letting office seems to have been removed by the new president.

The device was placed on a resolution desk by Mr. Trump but did not appear in any of Biden's first-day photos at the White House.

Mr. Trump allegedly hit the button when he needed refreshments and a staff member brought soda in a silver plate.

Former White House aide Chris Sims wrote about the button in his 2019 book Team of Vipers.

He said the twice-affected president pressed the button and suggested that it belonged to the country's nuclear arsenal.

"Nowhere, all of a sudden they press the button," Mr. Sims wrote.

Not sure what to do, the guests raised eyebrows and looked at each other. Moments later, a steward enters the room with a glass full of diet coke on a silver plate, and Trump laughs. Burst

According to the Washington Post, Mr. Biden has removed the button but is reportedly a soda fan and prefers Coke Zero.
