Ukraine has called for the extradition of 28 Russian traders to Belarus

Ukraine has officially requested the extradition of Belarus from 28 Russian mercenaries detained by security forces in Belarus, the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office said on Wednesday.

Ukraine is suspected’ of fighting Russian-backed separatists in eastern Ukraine.

Belarus arrested the men last month and said they were trying to destabilize the country ahead of Sunday's presidential election. Russia denies it used mercenaries and says men are moving to other countries via Belarus.
