Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain Dinesh Karthik said on Tuesday that it was good for him to play against Mumbai Indians so early in the tournament.
The first match of the KKR Indian Premier
League (IPL) will be played’ against the Mumbai Indians on September 23 at the
Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
"They (Mumbai Indians) have a team of
world class players, they have a strong line up and the number of IPL titles
shows that we are playing Mumbai at the beginning of the tournament."
"Every year is a different year," Dinesh Karthik told a virtual press

Kolkata has a poor record against Mumbai.
Both the teams have played 25 matches against each other, out of which 19 have
been won’ by Mumbai under Rohit Sharma.
KKR has strengthened its line-up with the
addition of England captain Avon Morgan, Australian fast bowler pacer Pat Cummins, American fast bowler Ali Lur Ali Khan
and Australian spinner Chris Green. The team finished fifth in the 2019 IPL and
now it has to find its way.
Speaking during a press conference, Morgan
said he was prepared to pay a fine if asked to do so. "I think with the
squad we have, it gives us a lot of options in both batting and bowling. I
