1 person died after a jet ski incident in Cape Breton on Canada Day



RCMP said in a news release that one person died after the deadly jet ski incident in South Lake Ainslie.


Mountains with the EHS were called to a campground on the shores of Lake Ions to report a personal watercraft that had been countered at 9:07 am on Wednesday.

Port Hawkesbury, N.S. The 58-year-old man did not respond to water within 100 meters of the shore.

The man was wearing a life jacket, bringing people back from a paddle boat and another watercraft campground.

He attended EHS and was pronounced dead at the scene

A man was alone at the time of the incident, police said, adding that there was no suspected hooliganism.

Their investigation is ongoing.
