China has said it is not afraid of US sanctions on the South China Sea



 He feared no sanctions could be imposed by the U.S. on the situation in the South China Sea, accusing Washington on Wednesday of escalating trouble and destabilizing the region.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying told reporters that Beijing hopes the United States will not go the wrong way.

A top diplomat from East Asia has warned that sanctions could be imposed on Chinese officials and companies, forcing Washington into the South China Sea.
