Kenny West claimed that it was God who gave him the power to block Taylor Swift in 2009 on MTV VMA.
The music awards show was infamous when
Kanye stepped on Stage to get Swift's light.
The 43-year-old rapper was unhappy with
the decision to give Swift VMA for the best video instead of his Paul Beyoncé.
Beyoncé released "Single Ladies"
the same year and Kanye said the hit song video is the best ever.
Now he claims that if God did not plan to
approach him, he would not be able to reach this stage tonight.
Kenny spoke openly with Nick Cannon in his
Canon class podcast about the incident.
He said: 'Right now, God is giving me
information.
"If God doesn't want me to play on
stage and say Beyoncé has the best video, he won't put me in the front row.
"I would have sat in the back. That
wouldn't have made the idea so ridiculous because I've never heard of this guy
before, and 'Single Ladies', like, is one of the biggest videos ever.
He added that all these things were
arranged’ because he had revealed that he was drinking alcohol before the
incident.
"I was just drinking Hennessy because
I didn't want to go to the awards show because it was a setup," he said.
