Lahore / Karachi: The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has announced vacancies for several sub-inspector level posts across the province.
According
to the job advertisement through the official account of Punjab Police on Twitter,
there are 85 existing holes on regular service quota while there are 345 job
opportunities on open merit.

03, 10, 12, 07, 11, 03, 09, 09, and 02 of the former in Lahore, Sheikhupura,
Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Multan, Bahawalpur and

latter, 79, 10, 38, 47, 29, 45, 14, 37, 38, and 08 are in Lahore, Sheikhupura,
Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Multan, Bahawalpur, and

Punjab
Police requires candidates to be graduates of an acceptable university and have
three years of experience as a Head Constable or Assistant Sub-Inspector in a
functional unit.
However,
he warned that there would be no relaxation in terms of age and qualifications.
Candidates - both men and women - must have a second division or equivalent
rank and be in the age group of 20-25.
It
further said that the service certificate should be signed and stamped by the
District Police Officer (DPO) / City Police Officer (CPO) / Capital City Police
Officer (CCPO) of the concerned area’.
Candidates
will be required to take a 90-minute, 100-mark written test, which will include
multiple-choice questions on general knowledge (20%), English (40%), and
information technology and language comprehension (40%).

Responding
to a question on Twitter about bribery for jobs, Punjab Police said all
recruitments were "on merit".
