According to Johns Hopkins University, the number of confirmed global cases of CoVID-19 has reached 40 million.
The
American Research Institute, which reports on cases from around the world, said
the milestone had passed today.
He
said that the number of infections has reached 40,050,902. There have been more
than 1.1 million deaths.
The
actual worldwide prevalence of CVD-19 is likely to be much higher, as the test
is variable, and many people do not have symptoms that make them unaware of the
disease.
Some
governments are also accused’ of hiding the exact number of cases.
The
United States, Brazil, and India are reporting the highest number of cases,
although recent weeks have seen an increase in Europe.
A Reuter’s
analysis has found that the global infection rate is steadily rising.
It
took only 32 days to reach 40 million out of 30 million global affairs, while
it took 38 days to reach 20 to 30 million, the news agency said.
Last
weekend saw a record increase in new infections in a single day, with cases of
the coronavirus worldwide surpassing 400,000 for the first time.
