German Chancellor Angela Merkel visited Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny while he was being treated’ in a Berlin hospital, Der Spiegel reported.
According to some sources, Spiegel said
that after Merkel fell ill on a domestic flight and left Russia for Berlin last
month, she was treated’ in a hospital for 32 days.
Merkel's spokeswoman declined to comment
on the report.
The German government says tests in
Germany, France, and Sweden have revealed that he was poisoned’ with a Novichok
nerve agent and has sought an explanation from the Kremlin.
Moscow has denied any involvement in the
attack, saying it had not found any evidence of a crime.
